Crocheted Cat Toys
I decided I'd try crocheting up some quick cat toys, so I pulled out that eyelash yarn I hate, some plan ol' white cotton from a cone and started crocheting. I did one, stuff a couple small bells in there, and a weee bit of catnip (in a piece of cut off pantyhose), and the cats seem to really enjoy them. They crochet up very quickly, and I've made a couple I'm going to bring to the SPCA right up the road from me for their adorable kittens.
Feeling the love!
Originally I was planning on crocheting/knitting a top for my daughter for this along, but right now I am lacking inspiration for it. I have relized that I dont crochet much these days. I knit the most. I am very christmas inpired these days since we are to celebrate christams for the first time in our new house, so I located my favorite heart pattern for crochet and got to it. I plan to make lots and lots and have them hanging on my tree this christmas and in every window with crocheted snowflakes. Soory abou the crappy pics, but I took them with my cellphone.

First Crochet Project
I finished my first project, the cat tunnel. :) It was a bit tough at the beginning, but I think I got it, at least the basic stitches. I'm truly shocked at how quick crochet goes, it seems much, much faster then knitting. I want to thank Vera again for giving me the push I needed to actually try crocheting, it's wonderful and I think it will be invaluable to know.

First Project
It's a Combo!
Hello Everyone!
I just had to try that beautiful Knitted Scarf with a Crocheted Edge pattern that Vicki posted the other day. I haven't done many scarves recently, but this time, I've been in a bit of a scarf mode.
This isn't the best photo, but I love this scarf. I'm using Debbie Bliss's Cashmerino DK in a color voted on by the regulars at my LYS.
I got three skeins, and so far, I've used one. The crocheted edging in done at the end.
I think it's a beautiful scarf that would make a great gift, and it's a good combination pattern for because it's easy, interesting, and pretty.
I'll take a better photo once I'm done.

Hiya everyone :)
My name is Holly, I blog at Interlacing Loops, I live in Goose Creek, SC. My Mom taught me to crochet several times as a kid, but I was never really able to pick it up. Even now it seems difficult and frustrating, but I really want to learn to crochet well. I picked knitting up when I was about 18 and have been addicted ever since, I can't imagine my life without yarn.
I want to thank Vera for setting up this CAL/KAL, I think it'll be what I need to really get started and stick with crocheting, instead of relearning every few years. ;) I haven't decided what I'm going to knit/crochet yet, but I'm going to pick up Knitting Loves Crochet and see if there's anything in there that looks real good.
